well, I used to use the ff for a good muse distortion until I got the rat. So ATM its just for a spot on TSP sound and obvioulsy the osilation and and totaly insane sounds which almost sound like they're from another world!.
is your comment as in, 'well you've got 2 distortions, and an whammy to do the osilation (kind of), so why the fuzz factory?

OK, I got a bit of Christmas money, so I decided to replace my DOD FX-7 with something more proffessional sounding, modern and more expansive effects wise. I got myself a Digitech RP80, and I'm loving it. Anyone who wants a Muse sound on a budget should go for one (£59 from www.gak.co.uk), as it's got everything you need minus the fuzz factory's craziness. I was especially suprised by how damn good the whammy is on it, it's as good as the proper single unit and I have used Digitech's snazzy X-series (and I own a multi-chorus from that series) and all the effects are as good as those stomp boxes.
i just looked this up and it looks great! thanks for recommending it. it even has a drum machine on it...lol. but is it a proper effects unit or just an amp with effects? are the effects really that good quality? i don't have any effects as yet as i'm just starting out (i just have a guitar and amp), so i'm looking for something relatively cheap, but i'd like it to be good quality too. any further advice / info would be much appreciated. 
Sorry I didn't reply for ages, I haven't been in this thread for quite a while.
It's an effects pedal, with pre-amp stuff, and an expression pedal. The effects all sound great, I'd say they are a tiny tiny bit worse than the stompboxes, but only in that you don't have as much freedom with them- but the sound is all top notch.

I got it for £230 off ebay. The official Japanese price is 84000 yen, which is about £410. They're pretty rare, but there's a black one for sale here http://www.myrareguitars.com/affordableGUITAR.html for $500 (about 406 euros)
It has a floating tremolo thing though, which makes tuning a pain in the arse
