There aren't words for how bad an idea this would be.
Also, your speculation was no more baseless than the rest of the speculation in this thread...bassier even!
Agreed on that. I'm not entirely sure I could cope with that.
True, but I gave a warning and there is actually a track with that name so I wasn't making shit up like everyone else is.
First time I've heard that track. I can definitely imagine a Muse cover of it, it wouldn't be unlikely at all.
I hope not though because it doesn't sound like the kind of thing we're all hoping for. It just sounds like another Survival really.

For some reason i think this well be similar to the resistance.
Logic: Supremacy = Uprising
Madness = Resistance
Panic Station = new
Follow Me = Def Guiding light, even similar titles
Animals = MK Ultra
Explores = Unnatural Selection
Big Freee = new but I think preachy and cheesy,
Save me = I belong to you
Liquid State = Undisclosed desires
the last 2 tracks exo equivalent
Can anyone see where I'm coming from?
Quote sork :
I knew that supremacy would be the first song (soo proud of my self right now lol but too tired to go look for the message)
because supremacy sounds like exogenesis and the first song from each muse album sounds like the previews album:
new born (intro) sounds a little like showbiz
apocalypse please not sur...
TAB sounds like absolution (written during the absolution era anyway)
uprising sounds (a little) like KOC with a sing a long chorus
supremacy sounds like exogenesis
Now I am really really intrigued by the songs the 2nd law, this is gonna be
legen...wait for 14/09
People chatting some serious shit in this thread.....

No one has stated the obvious, I mean they're not scared of whacking a cover on an album.
Well one stands out to me.
I'd be well pissed about that though.
I actually see them not only covering it but making a single out of it, like a modern version of Save Me, not too different from the original but with a modern sound to it. Yea, can actually see it happen, but I think that if it was a cover Matt would already went ape shit telling everyone about it.
EDIT: and this made me think, they're really quiet about this album, with Resistance a week wouldn't pass without Matt talking about Exogenesis and stuff

They spent a week giving interviews, I'm pretty sure we're gonna hear a lot about this album when these interviews get published.

Your logic is infallible.

Christ.
So much logic it almost hurts.

Even though I know I'm probably going to think this album is rubbish, I don't get why people are mocking the song titles. Give it a fair crack of the whip. Aside from Supremecy and Survival which sound a little too heroic for my liking, and Save Me and Follow Me which sound like they could be daddy chuff, I don't see how the majority of them are offensive. Most of them just sound like Muse song titles. And even the ones that sound worrying could be the most awesome songs ever. There's loads of great songs that have titles that fail to excite. And there's loads of shit songs with fucking sweet song titles.
Until anyone actually hears the songs, writing them off based on their titles seems a tad ridiculi.

Maybe they've written it for the winter olympics?

Big Freeze is a weird name. But names don't tell much about a song, so we'll have to wait and see. (Although I do agree with the other people saying the first songs are probably going to be single material, since Muse always put these songs in the beginning.)
The Big Freeze is one of the hypothesised ways that the universe will end. I'm no fancy physicist, but I read about it during one of my boredom fueled "Ways the universe will end" google searches. Worth a read.

I wouldn't be too pissed off to be honest. But i think it would tarnish their reputation a bit, seeing as they've been being compared to Queen more and more over the years.

Funny that.
It's called/caused by entropy.

In a desperate effort to pass time during my day I looked at the working titles to try and see what would match up vs. the new ones we have but that didn't lead to a whole lot.
I would have to assume Change turned into Liquid State but that's about the only one that has any semi-obvious connection.

Looks like this won't be a personal album like they said it would be then. Then again, is anyone really surprised by that?
|

The stripped down, personal talk really happened very early. I don't doubt that that was how they were feeling after being on tour for two years putting on as bombastic a show as they could, and that was probably what would have happened if they'd started making an album right then and there.
Time off probably kind of reset the needle though and the urge to go big was there again like always.

It's probably my least favourite of the original trilogy, because Short Round is so irritating. I like to pretend that the fourth film doesn't exist.
|
|
|
What fourth film?
I used to say the same thing though, it was my least favourite one but it's still like the 3rd best movie ever made. I tend to regard the triliogy like Star Wars and think of them as one big film.
Shorts best work was The Goonies, another fabulous film.
Seriously I don't know why they even bother making films anymore. The best ones have already been done.

I just decided to watch Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom as well. I succeeded for about 15 minutes, but then my family decided to change the channel... in favour of Twilight.

Last Crusade was the weakest of the four Indy films. I couldn't care less about the fourth film, it's just average, whereas I find Last Crusade way too boring.
