*sigh* On topic, please.

I`m still moderately hopeful that this album will at least be a bit of fun. I`m not looking for anything genre defining or anything and frankily wouldn`t be bothered if it was full of dance-influenced stuff as long as the album is bloody consistent musically.

Origin of Symmetry had Screenager, which save for the arpeggiator really didn't fit in with the rest of the album. Absolution had Hysteria in the middle of a mainly piano-driven album. I won't even mention BHaR or TR because then I would basically end up typing up an almost-complete tracklist of each.
I think what people, myself included, are missing is that it's not about consistency, or writing, or any of that. It's about how the album is produced. If the heavier tracks are produced like OoS tracks, they will turn out pretty well. If a lullaby, which was hinted at previously, is produced how a dubstep track would be, it won't sound as good.
It is very likely that the music itself will be great, but will likely be either over- or underproduced.

I wonder whether they'll be another limited edition of the album...

I got one for The Resistance and to be honest, I regret it a bit because the album was not that great...

i don't know whether I'll be able to resist, though

I love my TR boxset.. mostly because of the usb stick.

I think you can be pretty sure that there will be a limited edition. Hopefully it will be numbered

I wish I had gotten it simply for the 5.1 mix. Friggin' 3 years later and I haven't heard it. I really wish they would have released it on its own at some point, like at concerts or something.

If there is a 5.1 mix of this album, I will buy the limited edition. I was just out of school and didn't have a job the last time around, but now I make money and I will spend it accordingly!

Come on, Pirate it! They are practically begging you to do it. If they really wanted you to buy the mix they would sell it, don't you think?

I don't even have a PC to torrent with anymore... just a tablet. Though, maybe I can talk a friend into downloading them... worth a shot.

There are no tablet torrent clients! Really?! And I was considering to get one... Don't take me as a thief, it's just that e.g. Muse's disks weren't even imported here back in the date I found out about them. Legislation is a ton less strict here as well.

You`re kidding right?

Screenager breaks the pace between Micro Cuts and Darkshines perfectly. It`s a beautiful addition to OOS and I can`t imagine the album without it. Yes, it`s one of their weirder songs but it complements the album extremely well.

The Falling Away With You > Interlude > Hysteria is constantly quoted as being one of the best flow of songs that Muse have released. I`m not sure exactly where you`re getting the idea that Absolution is mainly piano driven. Yes, it has the most songs with piano for an album but it`s 50:50 really.

I will agree about the production. I listened to Absolution last night and it fell flat on it`s face. That`s something I never noticed before but it was the first time I`d listened to it on decent headphones. I was a little disappointed by that. I will test BH&R tonight but OOS passed the test. I`m not even going to try to defend TR`s production.

I think we`ll be ok though. The production in the trailer, while crisp and clean, sounded a lot better than TR. I`m not holding my breath but I`m staying positive until we at least hear some more of it. I`m still not sold on this lullaby nonsense though. Pretty sure that`s an overexaggeration. Then again, the start and end of both Screenager and Eternally Missed could be described as lullaby-esque.

Songs on Absolution with piano:

Apocalypse Please, Sing for Absolution, Stockholm Syndrome, Butterflies & Hurricanes, Ruled By Secrecy

That's 5/14 tracks.

Wasn`t bothered going through them myself. Thank you though. Considering 2 out of 14 aren`t really full tracks, it`s close to 50:50. Plus, Endlessly has keyboards in it.

Compared to OOS:
New Born, Bliss (synth), Space Dementia, Citizen Erased, Screenager (Synth), Darkshines (Small bit at the end of the verses), Feeling Good, Megalomania (Organ).

4/12 with Piano. Not much of a difference.

I wouldn't get your hopes up.

The band Pulled Apart by Horses posted this this morning:
"In the studio today doing our very first remix for a very well known act."

and then just now:
"Today we created a monster remix for someone. Lets hope it suffices (it fucking will) http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riff "

Now, that could really be anybody but PABH did support Muse on a few stadium dates and Muse are a "very well known act" and will presumably have a single out very soon. Just a thought.

I wouldn't call it dubstep but something like that would be awesome. I doubt we'll get anything like it though.

There's never been a source for that. It could be the tracklist but I think someone just guessed it.

I also think it would be weird if they didn't change any of the working titles. I mean, 'Hiding To'? that's a terrible song title.
