I don't think I'd mind living in London, apart from the price. I pay £700pcm in Manchester for a 2 bed flat. In London, I'd pay 700pcWEEK for a shared 3 bedroom flat. And not a very nice one either.
The tubes are fantastic though.

London was a bit of a pain for me, mostly relating to the size and where I was living. I've tended to prefer smaller cities in any case. Walkable ones.

I don't really care for London. People are ignorant. Which I don't really mind because people I don't know talking to me grieves me. But still. It would be nice to know that they were willing to make the effort before I walk past them saying "I can't hear you I have my headphones in".
Plus, you know, it's in the South. I'm no big city geography teacher, but last time I checked, the highest concentration of Southerners in the country is in the South. Pib can't deal with that shit. I don't talk the Queens, I like gravy on my chips, I don't like lager tops. Nah it just wouldn't work. It couldn't. It's crazy.
I simply have to stay up here in the North. I can't handle the South and the South can't handle me.

One of my cousins was killed today in Afganistan, my family are shocked and devastated. He was a really fantastic guy and only 22... R.I.P Craig

Unfortunately humans don't see themselves as one species, religions, cultures, skin colour, gender, beliefs, money, influence, nuclear power etc. make us different.

thanks everyone... I've never been this upset about anything and I can't begin to imagine how his sisters feel.
I too wish there could be an end to war, but sadly Roos has got it spot on. Something that makes me even more upset about the whole thing is that my brother is being sent out to the exact same place in 2 months.
