Oh jeez. I hope it sounds poor due to the recording and that it sounds much better on the radio. I also hope that's just the beginning and it booms into something else. Not long till we find out I guess.

First off, NSC was the best song the best song from the resistance era after MK Ultra and Exogenesis.
Secondly, as I stated earlier, I'm going to laugh my ass off in a couple of hours. Win.

It would be so funny if it doesn't get much better than that. Really bad!
But, resistance was the worst sounding clip ever and it turned out ok.
I hope it's the worst song on the album.

Or maybe it will be a whole song filled with:

My camel has been in a wheelchair for years. This is probably the song that's going to make it neck a bottle of Jack Daniels and a handfull of sleeping pills.
In fairness, it's only a twenty second clip. The full song might be a work of art. But based on those twenty seconds alone it sounds like some sub-Eurovision, We Are The Champions-lite absolute cockrot.

Well, it looks like my hopes of Muse producing something unique/alternative have been well and truly quashed. This is the classic problem so many artists seem to face; that raw energy just eventually goes and is replaced by something contrived. I know I can't properly judge a song from 20 seconds, but everything I've heard as well as the concept of the song just sounds rubbish.
The best thing Muse could do would be to make an instrumental album; that way there'd be no cheesy, horrible lyrics and they're still fantastic musicians capable of arranging great music. Let the energy of the music convey the message, not lyrics about global warming/recession. *disappointed*
