Yes I will have fun listening to the great music of the past, because the "present" is total dogshit.

Not sure if this has been brought up or not, but when listening to the bit of Unsustainable, I feel like it's going to be about someone or a certain group of people and not like the economy as a whole because the last line of the robot voice sounds like "You're unsustainable". The news cast was probably for dramatic effect and used since it led into the song well.

That might refer to people in general, as it seems that all people have their own way of being unsustainable.

When I first heard/saw the preview all I could think was how terrible the video was. In particular how bad the silver 3d rendered muse logo with panning lighting looked. Then today I was watching some old videos on youtube and noticed something familiar.
See Here
Now I can't help but hope/dream we're getting an Absolution 2.

Jeez I've just got back from Download and I feel like a missed something big. Listened to the sneaky preview and It's easy to say this is radically different. 'Dubstep' being a genre of music that really has no longevity and will be re-packaged and labelled something else in the next 5 years or so. This is rather daring indeed. Though I have noticed since Muse have been building up a larger fan base over the past few years, we lost some of the crazy buzz from the live shows. Overall dubstep will perk things up a bit (this might mean Granny and her pre-adolescent grandchild have to sit at the back) as the progressively smaller (noticeable) pocket of people only at the front-centre of gigs bring that excitement and energy. If you don't want muse to progress and rather they churn out an album that sounds just like origin again, I'm sure there are many bands have produced re-hashed stuff.
I mean, I remember hearing SMBH for the 1st time and stomping around for ages yelling "RUUUBBIIISSHHH!!" I changed my mind completely about it shortly after. For those who are really devoted to Muse, it's time to keep the faith. It always works out in the end.

That is exactly how I reacted to the 2nd Law trailer. It will most likely end well.

So true. I think it's mainly cuz it's just a shock to the system. I fully expect this album to be badass. Maybe I won't like it right off the bat but I think I will over time.

at first, i thought WTF, much like with SMBH, and the entire resistance album, but SMBH quickly grew on me (mostly live solo version) as did the Resistance album (minus I Belong To You), so im sure once the initial shock wears off, this new album will also grow on me, I highly doubt the whole album will be Dubstep anyway, besides i have yet to find a muse album where i like every song anyway, cant base much off a 2 minute preview......
