Quote Bruno Spatola :
There's a robot voice in SMBH? Where?
End of the chorus, also the video on stage during that song was full of giant marching robots for a while

Dom's "into the supermassive" at the end of the prechorus.

Ah yes,
dun-dun-dun-dm-dm-WAH-WAH
in to the su per ma ssive
Never noticed that was a sentence until running the song in practice mode (Guitar Hero 3).
Still, that's nowhere as ob/intrusive -- pretty incomparable.

Even's Chris' backing vocal tracks have that raspy robotic distortion on SMBH
|
|
|
Robotic distortion? Nah, just sounds like a Chino Moreno effect to me. Different ears I guess.
|
|
|
Sounds like simple distortion, similar to what Matt used so prominently during the Absolution era.

Glad the fake was just a Muse rip-off band and not the real deal . Something about it was bugging me because it didn't seem 'professional' enough to be Muse. It didn't have their crisp production and seemed, in places, a bit simplistic. Can't explain it, but it sounded more like a Muse tribute band: good, but nothing compared to the original ;). Still a great tune, though.

It sounded rushed, too. The vocals needed a lot more practice before it should be released, if it was Muse. Sounds like someone found the old vocal track that Dom originally sang in Blackout.

am I the only one feeling that this album is sooo going to be their more ambitious ever?
wether we like it or not, I think it's gonna be really spécial!
I want to listen to the full supremacy song it's killing me! It had to stop right when some electronic sounds played the same think as the strings...

After almost vomiting at first hearing the dub step-influence, I am actually really, really excited. They all seem to be pretty adamant they've drawn a line under the past, and I like the heavy sound that seems to have returned.

Matt said that he wanted to do a hard techno style album with influences from the band Justice, i expect its going to be just that. I also suspect he will use a lot of midi sequencing and phat beats, which in the past have been amazing, for example Map of the Problematique. Now that i think about it the song does sound like the guitar is being controlled via midi, and i think it would be amazing to see a live show where matt stomps around with a 7 string guitar, and a digitech whammy/kaoss pad melting everyones face. Honestly anything that gets muse more popular i'm down for
something like this would be awesome http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cONuMl1yfqc&feature=related + guitar

I hope not. The sounds are good, but I find that to be the most repetitive Muse song of all, next to Assassin.
I'd like it to be melodically varied, overall. We'll see, we'll see.

If the 'Unsustainable' lyrics are in the actual song. Chris will probably sing them (SMBH style) and we'll lose out on the pouty lips/ head bang during the breakdown
I thought Dom would sing it actually... Like he does in Supermassive Black Hole with the "Into the Supermassive" lines
|
|
|
Well, this is shit. At l east we still have Origin & Absolution.

Hope you're right. I want to see Wolsty impregnating people during the riff vs being stuck at the mic.

Have fun in the past.

Yes I will have fun listening to the great music of the past, because the "present" is total dogshit.

I hope Dom sings it. That would allow Dom to provide vocals in another live song, which would be interesting.

Well, there is always Can't Take My Eyes Off You, which they played once during Resistance tour

Interesting is one word for it; Dom's vocals had to be removed from the original version of Blackout because they were too off-key.

They did?

Yep, I think it was in Japan in 2010.

Budokan 2010. They also brought back Dead Star (and dropped it after 2 plays, cause it's Muse)
