The moderate success of his comeback is a sign of strength by the player, not the team. Vieira, as an old Arsenal and City player might have put it a bit black and white, but I'm certain that had Ferguson had another solution for his midfielder shortage, he'd have taken it over Scholes. In that regard, it is indeed a unique but also short-term and worrying last resort.
Result at Stamford Bridge. Had the better chances, but not much in it in the end. Good for our worrying back four to get a clean sheet where no one got one this season.

Couldn't agree less, it wouldn't of mattered if we had the strongest least depleted midfield around. If Scholes had come back and asked to play again SAF would've accepted it. Sure Scholesy may of made a different decision if the midfield looked a lot better but all he had to do was ask and he would be straight back.
It was never a solution to anything other than Scholes wanting to keep playing.
Also, lols liverfail.

Scholes has said many times that he regretted not being able to play with the first team since September. Fergie had no part in badgering him to start playing again.

Not that anyone cares, but that first Grant Holt goal was offside (1-1). It annoys me immensely that no one mentioned it... Anywhere. Dixon is analyzing the goal, they freeze the play at the very moment, criticizing the back four. Not the ball from Jackson to Holt, the one Jackson receives immediately beforehand.
Why bother with comments or analysis, let alone making a living off of it (the commentators during the match, the people making the program, etc.) if you're not going to notice something like that.
Please, someone, look it up and agree with me.

If it is that one the left back is playing him on by a country mile...
Also lol Liverpool.
And City, oh dear. Although Mancini whinging about Stoke being physical (like you shouldn't expect that at the Britania) and then complaining about lack of squad size? He's getting wibbly.
This is getting interesting, hopefully we can pump a few past Fulham again...

Huntelaar has hit the 40 goals for the season milestone, he's been on fire this season. It's a shame he doesn't get the same credit as players like Gomez, Van Persie etc.

Cracking spot. Yeah it's a bit silly they don't notice things like that really, but I guess it was pretty tough to see.
Small change got rained on with his own thirty-eight, and nobody flinched, down by the arcade.

Didn't stoke get a stone waller rejected 2 days ago? Yes.
Didn't we get screwed over at Newcastle? Yes.
Swings and roundabouts, eh? Although it should have been a penalty.
We should have killed that game off way before that, so pedestrian.
Tony V, Evans and Rafael were excellent. Young was okay.
Rooney poor, but scores again. Giggs and Welbeck woeful. That game was crying for the Berb to add composure in the later stage, but Hernandez came on and couldn't pass to a red shirt.

Welbeck is wank, not just last night either although he was dreadful last night. It's unbelievable a guy with no first or second touch gets picked above Berb.
It's not that he's shit, just wank.

Berbatov has had plenty of chances to leave the club he just doesn't want to. I think at his age he's just looking to cash in now.

Also, Muamba's talking again apparently! What fantastic news!

Penalties conceded at home since August 2006:
Chelsea 6
Aston Villa 6
Liverpool 7
Fulham 8
Spurs 8
Man United 9
I like Welbeck me, plus he's only young so he'll obviously gain more ability as he gets older and will become less frustrating.
Welbeck over Hernandez or Berbatov? Yes please. Any day of the week.

Everything he's said has seemed sincere and he seems to have a passion to play.
He thought he would play this season during summer, joint top goalscorer, etc, got some preseason. Said alot of positive things to, never seems to be putting himself around but clearly wants to play and do well. His interviews seem sincere and are really respectful, he's still trying, not having a primaddona hissy fit or fucking off for 5 months.
Hence him apparently leaving this summer.
I think it's a fergie vendetta now more than anything, why roo got took off and he didn't bring on someone to link up (berb) beggers believe, it seems almost bloody minded.
Oh well.
And re Welbeck, he's young, as is Pea, they're going to have poor games, but Pea is born offside and has a rapist's touch and Welbeck isn't as clinical and is bullied. I'd have Welbeck over pea for all round, but if desperate for a goal...Hernandez is a poacher.
I'd still have the Berb over them both. But oh well.
