so many bands being linked with a headline spot this year! i hope we have a UK version of LA Rising (think it was called that :P ) with Muse topping the bill with RATM underneath

If they did I would go but it seems unlikely them headlining a metal festival. Global smash hits such as Guiding Light and Neutron Star Collision wouldn't go down very well.
Edit: Rage wouldn't sub to anybody, if anything they'll headline a separate day and if so it looks like I'll be getting a weekend ticket next year, possible chance of Sound Garden showing up as well

Sonisphere isn't an exclusive metal festival. Just look at the Saturday line up from last year. Biffy Clyro, You Me At Six, Sum 41, The Mars Volta, to name a few. I think they're going to be different to Download, so that they can appeal to Rock and Metal fans in general.
Hell, there was even talk of headliners including Green Day, Foo Fighters or RHCP for 2012!

Damn that's so hard to pick who it might be out of it, they're all the rumoured acts (except a7x and pamore) it could be any of them nearly.
I'll go for Kiss out of them and for all 3 I reckon Kiss, Van Halen and Rage.
