I know everyone bums this gig so I'm just going to have to be the unpopular opinion. I thought it was... alright. Bit of a ho hum set if you ask me (although much better than todays standards).
I certainly think they've done much better gigs. I was never sure why Glastonbury got that much attention from the Muse crowd.
One of lifes mysteries I suppose.
Oh, and Pulp were better.
Meh..
No.
Not really.
And no.

I have seen better Muse performances.
And doesn't Muse always win all NME polls because they have so many people voting for them? This has nothing to do with the actual performance.

|

Yeah. It's why these polls are meaningless. As soon as you let the general public in on the deal you have a thousand Muse fans refreshing their vote over and over again until they win.

Hell yes!
I've always, ALWAYS said that this is their best ever performance, especially Stockholm Syndrome, which is by far their best live performance of any one song, imo. It makes the whole Glasto 04 performance what it is.
I raise you this!
Anyway, glasto '04 was a great gig, but i cant judge if it was the best as i havent seen others really. NME polls are shit

It was a great performance, but not the best Glasto one. Pulp and Bowie were better imo.

While I wasn't there for any, I'm not convinced. I have little right to say this, but hear me out.
A younger community more in touch with the internet and in the NME readership. Of course they're going to up. 8/10 of the top ten are 00s performances. Radiohead are 2nd and Arctic Monkeys are 3rd. The other 90s show is Pulp! Resident bitches (a little harsh, I like all four).

I don't know whether it's just me, but I've read that three times and I'm more bewildered than that time I looked up 'Super Clusters' on Wikipedia.

Is that a fact is it?
And whats stopping fans of the other contenders doing the exact same thing?

Yes. Muse is often in categories with bands who have an older fanbase. They never win polls where they're up against Justin Bieber etc.

Thanks for the awesome goosebumps I just got from that scream. Fucking incredible.
And as for the pinkpop one, that was just nuts at the end. Matt's laughing his ass off and Dom playing a 3 piece drum set. How awesome! (Thank the execution commentary encore.. ) They go fricking crazy! Love it.
Rock Am Ring 2004 and PinkPop hands down a fantastic performances.

hahaa gd one
Muse 2010 Glasto was pretty darn gd too.
I find that SS sounds so different on each tour that its hard to compare them.. Absolution sounded raw and chunky (if that makes sense) and BHR sounded more cleanish distortion but in a gd prepared way that made the outro sound better and the outro's got better since absolution tour

I always thought Glasto 2010 got a bit too much hate. Performance wise I thought it was great.
As for sounds, I think I like that Absolution Tour sound best., but I think the outros were best during the BH&R tour.
As for Resistance Tour, I haven't really liked Matt's guitar sound in general this tour.

Erm... if he's being serious, there are a few people here who agree. I'm one of them. Maybe I'm sick of the Glastonbury performance, or I need yesterday to sink in, but that was brilliant last night.

Beyonce will be banging.
Last night...I can't judge yet. I need to watch it sober.
