Thanks for the links, i'll check them now and may look into buying one. I have been looking recently at a mansons custom pickup which is this..... http://mansons.co.uk/shopping/categories/manson-custom-pickups/manson/mbk-2-bridge-single-pickup/
I don't know how to install one myself and wouldn't like to try so if i get this mansons one they can install it for me.
i suggest getting a better amp than a line 6 spider 1st, maybe a decent 5 watter tube amp?
Muse= Gods.
No question or argument.

sorry guys... n00b alert here...
i is looking for a few schematics from people... or at least advice or tutorials of some sort... on an internal Fuzz Factory a la Matt Bellamy
i need a wiring diagram or at least very precise instructions, of how to wire the whole thing up inside the guitar - i will be using a Zvex Fuzz Fac and need details on how to wire it all up inside the guitar - and also how to wire up an LP-style 3 way toggle switch as a kill switch (on/off/on) and how this would all be routed through the gee-tar etc ... its going into 2 Manson Bareknuckle Nailbomb humbucker pick ups.... can some1 please help ?

Hmm it does depend on the guitar too, like with my guitar i can make the siren noises (inro to plug in baby at wembley) but it doesnt work properly on my brothers guitar.
how EXACTLY do you do the siren...i cant at all in every way i try.

Okay, good way to start:
Matt rarely uses the FF, except for noise before PIB and to play that song. On Abso he used for Blackout, PIB and noise (before PIB and after New Born's intro). On OoS e used it somewhat rarely, except for a lot of noise (Showbiz "solo", for example).
Proceed.
Are you deaf?!
His uses fuzz 90% of the time. Those in-between crazy sounds he sometimes makes are if you change the intensity on the Fuzz Factory. Do you even know what a fuzz factory actually sounds like when you use it normally? Listen to foo fighters and queens of the stone age and HIM. Matt just happens to be using his gear like one should.

Off the top of my head i use: (o'clock)
Vol: 9
Gate: 7
Comp: 5 (Turn back for siren noise)
Drive: 9-11
Stab: 9-11
Play around with those settings

no.... he very rarely uses it. smbh (could easily be one of his other fuzzes now) and plug in baby is about it.

yh what surfingsfun said
the in-between crazy sounds your talking about are usually harmonics, strums behind the nut or at times even the kaoss pad
man i still really want a fuzz factory, just seems so much fun and the distortion on my cube is abit meh

yeah the sustainer on harmonic mode seems to have replaced the fuzz factory squealing and kaoss noises as the between song filler/crowd teaser noises

Got one for sale if anyone wants it...£90.
I'm getting a basic cheap silicon fuzz as this pedal is just too goddamn crazy. Amazing still though but not for my kind of playing.

This is cool too though.
Mind that most people will need the distinction between the vexter and original series, it's a vexter, right?

I'm talking with Zach on the zvex forums. That mother fucker has the best customer support ever. EVER! I wish I could say the same about Liquid Foot... I don't even know where to begin. Some of the most amazing products I have ever seen with, at the moment, zero support. I think the creator is an alien, but not an inter dimensional one.

For those interested in buying a Zvex FF, although I have the utmost respect for Zachary and what he does, and the way he does it, you really would be better off getting a clone pedal. Seriously, in the last few months, the clones have gone for selling around 30-40 quid new, to going for 70+ pounds due to the demand from...well...Muse fans.
I recently bought the 'Big Knob Fuzz Farm', an exact replica of the Fuzz Factory, and made by a UK-based, knowledgable team of guys who are great to deal with. They made a whole range of clones of boutique pedals and, in all honestly, I've tried a real FF, and I can't tell the difference. For me, the £120 for a FF isn't worth it; I get a far better tone from my Russian Big Muff Pi, and use that far more often than I would a FF. I bought the clone and I'm glad I didn't shell out for a FF; hence so many people advertising to sell theirs on here! It's a funky pedal, but unless you get it installed in your guitar, it's useless live. There's loads you can do with it, and it's great for recording, but if you make it a staple sound, you just end up sounding like Muse-rip off. Some might like that, I don't.
(Also, Robert Plant uses a Fuzz Farm...difficult to argue with that)
The pedal is 80 quid on their website, although they regularly list them on ebay, and I bought mine for £45. Which is a brilliant deal relative to the normal fuzz factory when you consider they are literally identical in how they are built.
This isn't meant as an anti-Zvex post, either. I would literally kill to be able to afford some of his pedals, like the seek wah, and some of the more bizarre, ring mod-esque effects. But I thought it only fair to share my opinion on the Fuzz Factory. The Fuzz Probe seems to remove the problem of playing live and wanting to use the effect...so hopefully that makes up for my criticism of Zvex!
Using the pedal as a 'straight fuzz', in the way Plant uses it, I don't find it great to be honest. It's 'fuzzy', but in my opinion, the tone's too sterile, too...digital-sounding. This is in comparison to the Russian Big Muff, which I have absolutely fallen in love with, and is highly versatile, and the warmest sounding distortion I could possibly hope for. So that might sway my verdict somewhat. But if I wanted a decent, 'brighter' fuzz than the Russian Big Muff, I'd either go for the American version of the pedal, or get some vintage, fuzz face-esque pedal.
Hope this helps anyone considering buying a Fuzz Factory. I know it makes you sound like Bellamy, but in all honestly, you tire of the thing pretty quickly, and it's not worth £100+.
EDIT: Fuzz BARN, not Fuzz Farm as I have stated several times here. Apologies...here's the direct link...

Hi Xav, no, that's not their website. I see I've totally crapped up here...it's called 'Fuzz BARN', not 'Fuzz Farm'. A fairly easy mistake to make, especially as they have farm animals on the front of the pedal...!
Anyway, here's the website.
http://www.bigknobpedals.com/fuzz_barn.htm
They're made to order, and at 75 pounds at the moment. If you want a battery option, that's 10 pounds more. However, as I said, you'd be better off waiting for one to come up on ebay...as they do every few weeks...even with the postage to Germany, you'd still save money, as the auctions rarely go above 60 pounds. And anyway, you'd still have to get shipping to Germany if you bought it straight off the website...so ignore that point!
Anyway, hope that helps!
