All I can say is... wow. Barcelona are the best team in the world, by a country mile. United did well to get their goal but after that it was all Barca. Not even the Fergie and the Man Utd fans can complain their way out of this one :P
The way they keep the ball though, it's just unbelievable. The passing stats came up on the half hour, and Barca had completed (I think) 265 to United's 100, with 66% possession. No matter how good you are, you can't play against possession football of that quality.

To start with, Barca were flawless. They ditched 99% of the dirty play that they showed in the semis, so there was nothing to take away from the brilliant defense, attack and positional play.
Rooney, Vidic (Messi goal excepted)and Park did themselves proud tonight. After the first half hour, Rooney realised that he wasn't going to get the normalservice, so he had to graft further back on the pitch.
With regards to Berbatov, playing him wouldn't have made any difference to the result, as there was no way that the United midfield could get any decent service to the front two, hence Hernandez was pretty anonymous for the game.

Unbelievable. United did actually play pretty well in parts of that, to be fair. Good goal from Rooney as well. Vidic and Ferdinand were pretty solid when they needed to be too.
Villa's goal was the highlight for me. When he picked up the ball I expected him to put his foot through it, and I thought he'd made the wrong decision when he tried the curler. Fantastic effort though.
I wasn't overly bothered about the winner at the beginning of the game, but ended up going for Barca purely because of the absolute cunts who were at my uni bar supporting United. Sub-human.
Small change got rained on with his own thirty-eight, and nobody flinched, down by the arcade.

I wasn't too fussed about the result. I just got up early to watch a good game of football.. And my god did I get that. That was really a game where football one. Not a lot of whiney annoying shit from either sides, and it was really interesting seeing United. It's a team I haven't watched much, but it was clear to see they were a top team. They played like a top team. But then there was Barcelona. They were just unbelievable.
I don't blame SAF for calling this Barca team the best team he's ever played against. Well deserved win. Great match. Lets cross our fingers that Barca will continue playing like that next year and cut the bullshit.
Yeah. I approve of getting up at 4.30 am to watch that.

Barca were dominant and deserved to win.
Dropping the Berb irks me, he could have come off the bench and atleast retained some possession, hernandez was poor, always offside and don't think created a chance, let alone had one himself.
However, we'd probably have been spanked irrespectively, they are quality.
Not necessarily the best ever, mind you...
Also Blatter cleared by Fifa ethics without hearing. Opponent gets suspended.

I guarantee that in about twenty years, if City become the force they're threatening to become and start winning trophies every year, the parades will have less and less people attending.
