Have any of you watched Axl Rose perform in the 80s and early 90s. He was absolutely fantastic. I have never seen somebody run around a huge stage for an hour and a half whilst singing so flawlessly. He's definitely in my top 5, and so is Matt. I think Freddy maybe should have won it though :/

I think some of these picks are kind of bull shit. Don't get me wrong all of those people on that list are good singers but i think there are better singers out there that deserve to be on that list.

How the fuck did Axl beat out Freddie? And Robert Plant too?
I don't know, I just don't know.

major facepalm. I went into that link fully expecting Freddie to be #1, Axl... NO.

I don't see why everyone thinks Freddie is the best , actually he is not, just watch their dvds AND he is a classical trained opera singer.

Beaten by the mighty Head again :P

So it was a poll not experts saying that he was the greatest singer of all time. Those people don't have a taste in music for axel for being the best singer.

I can't even see the link. Perhaps my laptop has a "rage filter" that automatically redirects me away from links that might cause me to punch it out of sheer annoyance at humanity - a sort of self-defence mechanism against lists written by chimpanzee-level journalists that need a lazy way to fill a column quickly so they can get an extra hour of hooker time.
Call me when they roll out the Top 30 Celebrity Upskirts list.

#1: Susan Boyle.
...so is the poll about the best singers or best frontmen? They're not exactly the same thing.
Axl Rose at Number 1 is an odd choice it should of been either Plant or Mercury to take that crown
Matt Bellamy placed higher than Sir Paul - nice
First i though that it was actually pretty good list, Then i saw Axl Rose being 1st

MAJOR FACEPALM!
Freddie at 1986 Wembley stadium should silence all the critics. He is #1. Also where is Greg Lake? His vocals on "In the Court of the Crimson King" were great.
I assumed it was a shoe-in for Freddie to be first, as he probably should be...but Axl? Looool.
Till Lindemann should have been in there somewhere, but I suppose it is greatest "singer" rather than frontman.

I call spam votes. No journalist in their right mind would put Axl Rose so high up, never mind #1 and beating Mercury.

is not amused

Axel Rose beat Robert Plant and Freddie Mercury...
Between this and the 30 greatest albums thing I'm pretty sure that music journalists don't have a fucking clue what there on about.
