There better be a beast of a special edition. The first two ME's are my favourite games for 360, the trilogy must be capped off in style.

Yes. Christmas List 2011:
Mass Effect 3 Special Edition.
I'll already have Elder Scrolls 5 before Christmas, no way in hell my brother will wait that long to get it. He will get it at launch.
*Hunter is such a cool name* Caville, Nuck, and now Sus. Ohh and Ruwani said it to. AND JAMES SAID IT TWICE.
Why do people find it funny when I tell them I have a twin named Fisher?

Yeah, it had better be an EPIC ending. But I trust in Bioware to make it good.
...And then I said; Oatmeal, are you CRAZY?!

I reckon there are only two outcomes: 1- the saving of the galaxy or 2- the destruction of the galaxy.
Bioware better not fuck around with this. They need to know that we don't always need a happy ending.

Yeah, but there had better be several more intricate endings like in ME 1 and 2 where team members can die.
It'd be awesome if the game could end with Shepherd turning into a Reaper overlord or something badass like that.

Yeah, there's obviously room for different endings within the two main ones, but it's one or the other for me. I want the option to destroy the galaxy. Rather, I'd like that to be a possible outcome of me having been an absolute bastard for the entire series :P
And yes, that would be awesome beyond words.

I hope it's not all about Earth, after all the reapers are after the whole galaxy, not just humans. A battle for Earth would be cool though, but hopefully the game won't centre around it.
Quote Fritz92 :
Also, I wonder how ME3 is going to play out if you got the ME2 ending where Shepherd dies.
You just start with a new Shepard.

Yeah, I do hope you're able to to travel around. That is one of the most fun things about the game, just flying about being badass. It could too easily turn into some kind of Halo thing, don't want that to happen. The ME universe is big, it should stay that way.
And Andy, that would be kinda lame. But I guess it's either that or another Lazarus project. Which would also be lame.

Yeah they did, you just make a new Shepard.
Since the level cap is 30 in 2, im hoping in 3 you can start at lvl 30 already (or whatever level you finished 2 as) and work up to 60, instead of starting again.

You know what, I bet there's a choice about saving Earth.
Like, if you choose to go help Earth then some other races get wiped out or summat, or you can leave Earth to try and hold out on its own whilst you go off and save someone/do something else.
Epic moral choice.

Fuck Earth. Humans suck anyway. All the other aliens own the shit out of humanity.

This would actually make sense. A big deal is made of the fact that humans are probably the strongest race when it comes to military matters, so it would make sense for the Reapers to wipe out the strongest race first, right? So the decision might be to maybe... sacrifice Earth and destroy the Reapers in the process, saving the rest of the Galaxy... or to force them off Earth and have them re-route their attack to the horrible slimy aliens.
I'm going with the second option. Gotta stick wit' yo' own kind, bro.

It's very similar. I preferred the storyline of ME1, but the combat in ME2 is soooo much better.
Also, I wonder how ME3 is going to play out if you got the ME2 ending where Shepherd dies.
"As with Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3 will allow the player to import their save file from the previous game, carrying over their decisions from both Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, totaling over 1000 variables. As Mass Effect 3 will import decisions not just from Mass Effect 2, but the original Mass Effect as well, some of the player's decisions from Mass Effect that did not have impact in Mass Effect 2 could potentially have an impact in Mass Effect 3."
If Commander Shepard died in the player's Mass Effect 2 playthrough, however, the player will be unable to to import their save game. Mass Effect 3's story is a continuation of Shepard's story and if Shepard died in Mass Effect 2 that death is considered final. Similarly, any squadmates who did not survive the suicide mission at the end of Mass Effect 2 will not return in Mass Effect 3.
In a presentation by Lead Gameplay Designer Christina Norman, at the Game Developer's Conference in March 2010, titled Where Did My Inventory Go? Refining Gameplay in Mass Effect 2, Norman outlined her goals for Mass Effect 3.[7] These included:
* Richer RPG features.
* More combat options.
* More complex enemies.
While Norman also noted that "nobody liked" the mining mechanic in Mass Effect 2, Casey Hudson later stated in an interview that mining will not be abandoned completely in Mass Effect 3, but acknowledged concerns about its speed and that the game relied upon it too heavily in parts of the story.[8]
"In an interview with PC Zone magazine in August 2010, Casey Hudson stated that Mass Effect 3 will continue, with adjustments, the approach of Mass Effect 2 by focusing on "an awesome sense of exploration, intense combat, a deep and non-linear story that's affected by your actions, and rich customisation of your armour, weapons and appearance" instead of an approach where the player "(equips the) hero by sifting through an inventory of hundreds of miscellaneous items and spend hours fiddling with numerical statistics", noting the "overwhelmingly positive" response Mass Effect 2 received for its approach.
Vehicle-based exploration may make a return in Mass Effect 3. Casey Hudson has indicated that the vehicle exploration segment of the Mass Effect 2 DLC pack Overlord was an attempt at addressing issues players had with the exploration segments in the original Mass Effect, and lessons learned from its implementation will be used to implement similar segments in Mass Effect 3."
I CAN'T FUCKING WAIT FOR THIS GAME Can't wait to actually explore earth as it's got to be a planet of interest this time.
Hopefully they'll expand on the citadel like they did in ME1.
Id happily punch you all in the face

Ah well, anyone who got Shepard killed better get playing again :P
And I'm glad to see they're making the mining thing LESS SHIT.

This is why the third games in a series are always the best. The second one improves on the first one, but tries out some new things that fail. The third one combines the best of the two to create THE ULTIMATE FUCKING GAME.
YEAH!
