I'm not sure what I find funnier, what's going down at Anfield at the moment, or the fact that United fans seem far more concerned with what's going at a club who, granted are rivals, but sit in no threatening position to them whatsoever, instead of the fact that their main (and city) rivals just climbed above them in the table.
Inferiority comlex, maybe?

Well yeah, even I find it funny. But to me it just seems like the large majority of United fans are far more interested in how bad our season is going instead of following their own club. It's a bit sad, really.
Still, we'll be in administration in 3 days and sitting bottom of the table with -3 points. That'll be fun.
edit: 1-2... the comeback against the mighty Blackpool begins...

No not really, City haven't actually won anything and aren't all that likely to in a hurry. The way I see it they are no threat until they become one, our season in terms of the league is pretty much over anyway so for the rest of the season really all that's left is to dick about and annoy everybody else.

Interested to see what Roy says about all this. Probably that we were unlucky not to get a point and that he's happy with the performance.
The man has no clue sometimes. You don't spend £11m on a central midfielder, then play him on the right wing.

Quote Liverpool Football Club tonight issued the following press statement:
The Board of Directors have received two excellent financial offers to buy the Club that would repay all its long-term debt. A Board meeting was called today to review these bids and approve a sale. Shortly prior to the meeting, the owners - Tom Hicks and George Gillett - sought to remove Managing Director Christian Purslow and Commercial Director Ian Ayre from the Board, seeking to replace them with Mack Hicks and Lori Kay McCutcheon.
This matter is now subject to legal review and a further announcement will be made in due course.
Meanwhile Martin Broughton, Christian Purslow and Ian Ayre continue to explore every possible route to achieving a sale of the Club at the earliest opportunity.

Quote Liverpool are to be sold to the owners of the Boston Red Sox baseball team.
But the takeover by the New England Sports Ventures requires resolution of a legal dispute with the Reds' American owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett.
The Premier League, which has refused to comment so far, will also have to approve the latest American buyout.
Please let this go through. Yeah, we may have another American ownder, but from what i've read about them, they seem to know what they're doing. Only time will tell. Oh and trying to get rid of Purslow? Another fantastic move Gilette & Hicks.

I support arsenal, but really something has to be done, the players clearly dont have the head screwed on (with due reason). The premiership without liverpool. Weird.

See, this is exactly what we thought when H&G came in... I'm cautiously optimistic though. These guys may not have all the money in the world, but at least they'll clear our debt.

From what i've read about their other clubs, they seem to operate within their limits. For example, that New York club they own (I honestly dont remember the name), instead of buying a new stadium they renovated the old one, increased the capacity and have been doing very well since.
Yeah, it would be great to have a sugardaddy owner with plentiful money, but at some point that will backfire. Back into debts and the mess we're into right now. If the Premier League was to run the same system that the Germans run (look it up, its how football should be run, each club spending only what it earns). I'd rather have an owner with a business brain with the best interests of the club at heart, rather than an owner with only greed in mind.

I just noticed that Denmark has gotten over Belgium, Scotland, Romania and some other countries on the UEFA club ranking list, which means we'll have a team directly into the Champions League next year and another team in the qualifier. !
Also. Our team is leading the CL group in front of Barcelona at the moment :P

The Boston Red Sox? :P
You've got a good point though. I wouldn't really want a filthy rich owner who would just plowed money into the club, that isn't the Liverpool way. Besides, City are going to be a prime example of how that method doesn't work.

Liverpool could face points deduction...
I like how wrong this entire article is. If Kop Holdings goes into administration it will have no bearing on the club whatsoever.
The league's administration rules state that the club itself has to go into administration, and Liverpool FC as a club is self supporting on merchandise etc. This is why clubs like us and United are pretty much immune from that dreaded 9 point deduction, because they are such a big global brand.
Legal loopholes ftw

Honestly. Red Sox seem like a club thats actually run by clever people. I think it would be a good thing for Liverpool.
On a side note. Portugal are wooping Denmark. We were doing okay. Then we had two personal mistakes within two minutes. Down 2-0 now. They scored the second goal like 15 seconds after kickoff from first goal
