1) Justice (Marlay Park): Just because they started with MotP. During the intro, we were speculating what regular opening song would fit with that. And then bam.
2) Tied between We are the Universe & Dracula Mountain. The towers are amazing, but DM is fookriffage.

Tom Waits. I went to see Linkin Park a few years back with my little sister and they basically did the same thing (shadows projected on a huge white sheet). So so epic!

"Roll up, roll up! Welcome to a seaside rendezvous! Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls..will you please welcome, from Teignmouth, Devon. MUUUUUUUUUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Anyone know what that means?

Tom Waits intro, so eerie and it sort of fits the band you know? "What's he building in there?" Makes you think about what's going on in Matt's head.

We Are The Universe is best thing from whole Resistance tour. It was so awesome live (especially when it was complete surprise to me )
What's He Building In There and Dance Of The Knights are also great though.

Am I the only one not really digging We Are the Universe? And also, don't see the use in it being an own song?
For me the logical answer to this poll would be Tom Waits. What's He Building In There? Is one hell of an epic intro. Really fits the darker sides of Muse; Dead Star and Showbiz for example.

You already posted here, you fool.
But yeah, I agree with you. Although I haven't seen WATU in action, so I guess I can't judge.
...And then I said; Oatmeal, are you CRAZY?!

I actually think We Are The Universe is really cool. But then it leads into Uprising and ruins it. Like driving through Alton Towers to get to Netto, or something.

The Prokofiev piece is lovely, but it's been done to death really, having been used for gig intros as early as the 1980s (that I know of - The Smiths used it).
I love 'What's He Building In There?", it's slightly creepy and suitably weird.
But I still prefer "WATU" as it is an original piece (well, snippet) of music by Muse and it works very well with 'Uprising' as an opening song.

WATU is fucking awesome.
Far better than Uprising, to be honest, I would prefer it if they just played WATU twice and then went into Resistance, it was such an epic moment.

I LOVE We Are the Universe. It's pure genius. Dance of the Knights was a close second though.

We Are The Universe. It's so spine-tingling and the way it works with the pillars is really cool.
Watched a video of that JFK speech earlier and thought that was pretty good too.

We Are The Universe is such a great intro... It sounds quite epic and eerie live.
We are the universe observing itself, we are the universe destroying itself.
