Yeah, that JD rant sums up exactly what I want to say to most people I know.
I hear my friends moaning about how this and that is happening in their relationships, how she said this and he said that...on and on, on and on, and I just sit there thinking... do they even realise how lucky they are to have a relationship in the first place?:
I confronted one of my mates about it once and he said 'haha, man you're glad you don't have a girlfriend, it's a pain in the arse.' Sorry, what? I'm guessing the good far outweighs the bad, otherwise you wouldn't be in the relationship.

Oh yes I get the "you're lucky" thing a lot  :
But yeah, I have this one friend in particular who complains about her boyfriend a lot, even though he actually is really great to her. She isn't even really that nice to him half the time, and expects a lot out of him. I think the worst incident was when she was telling me on the phone about how he's never gotten her flowers before, blah blah blah (personally, that's something I would be able to live without, it's a bit cliched tbh), then was sort of like "Oh, wait, look who I'm talking to..."
It would have been more offensive, but she sort of kept digging herself a hole from there and I thought it was kind of funny.
