+1 How strange they should choose to do that

But at least they did try to swap things round a bit, doing that and moving SS and PiB about, sticking in Burning Bridges (although Popcorn would have been better, but I wasn't there so I don't much mind). Let's give them a bit of credit. Just a tiny bit? And if we encourage them we might actually get IBTY or some other ever better goodies.

So, as a product of my boredom, I actually made a pie chart of the songs played on this tour as well as the corresponding amount of dates on the BHAR tour for comparison. Kinda shows how they're not varying things as much, there's a real big selection of material on the BHaR tour but not so much on The Resistance tour.

Thanks for that^

I can't believe they're actually playing Feeling Good more. And the fact that they're only playing three songs from their best albums (Origin and Absolution) is ridiculous.

Just noticed it did two too many gigs on the BHaR one, still the difference is clear.

Plus you the sets were different everynight on the bhar tour. Whereas this tour?

They can't vary the set too much due to the stage setup. They have varied the set to an extent, but it doesn't really matter because the shows on this tour are epic, I've been to one and the set really doesn't matter at all!!!

During the BHaR tour they also had a huge stage setup, with all the lightshow and stuff.
But they changed the setlists from time to time anyway... Why not during this tour?

I'm not complaining there, saw them in Paris last week, and the show was just awesome, really

Just for the record, it was also played at the Birmingham gig on the 10th November (I think before PIB but not 100% sure) although it isn't mentioned in the setlist in this thread.

They could easily play the whole of The Resistance and play more than three tracks from Origin or Abso.

I agree, I think there's plenty of scope for a large variety of songs to be played if they start to rotate more.

Personally I think the following songs should be rotated in and out of the set:

United States of Eurasia
Guiding Light
MK Ultra
Exogenesis Part 1
Take A Bow
Starlight
Map of The Problematique
Invincible
Apocalypse Please
Sing For Absolution
Blackout
Butterflies & Hurricanes
Ruled By Secrecy
Bliss
Citizen Erased
Microcuts
Feeling Good
Sunburn
Muscle Museum
Cave
Showbiz
Unintended
Dead Star
Fury

If the staples are Uprsing, Resistance, Undisclosed Desires, Unnatural Selection, Supermassive Black Hole, Knights of Cydonia, Stockholm Syndrome, Starlight, Time Is Running Out, New Born and Plug In Baby that gives a possibility of 7 differant songs each night if they play 18 song sets.

I don't think that's being unrealistic, I believe they could play all those, they've often been heard sound checking obscure tracks.

but then they'd have to cut the number of bhar tracks since they wont be changing the number of songs

and @SeldomSeenKid .. I think the main problem is the whole production needs to be ready for all those songs.. i think that's also why we didnt see MK Ultra until half way through the tour.. they just werent ready for it
