LOL Fulham are running riot.

Benitez = the sack maybe?

If Liverpool is really struggling for money like they say they are, they won't be able to afford to sack him. His contract runs on for another few years and they'd have to pay him millions to make up for it.

According to Charlie on Soccer Saturday, Benitez took Torres off after an hour while it was 1-1, and he wasn't injured. Bizarre decision.

He was only half fit, they only made the decision to play him last week on the way down to Anfield.

I don't even know where to begin with today, so i'll just stick with "lol".

That's an absolutely cracking goal by Berbatov. See that control? That's what I was talking about earlier in the topic.

He was impressive midweek, blistering speed at times. I ran out of patience with Nani last season, bar the odd cracking goal, he's not United standard at all. And as much as I love the guy, I have to say the same for Anderson too.

Rooney having a 'mare too tonight.

Yeah I was gonna say, I've barely seen Rooney at all tonight.

To be honest United haven't been that good tonight at all. Blackburn are really struggling and United should've won carefully. Take Rooney off now and bring Owen on (is he on the bench?)

About Nani and Anderson: I've always wanted to like them. I play the Football Manager series quite a bit and they always develop into good players in FM09... so I guess I was hoping the same would happen in real life. But Nani just doesn't do anything.

Valencia is looking better and better now though. He had a few decent crosses tonight.

Can NOT BELIEVE how Obertan missed that, christ! Inexperience shone through then.

Shame Dimi has come off, he 's been our best player by miles tonight. I think it's just a case of giving Rooney some more minutes to regain match fitness.

Edit: Great goal by Rooney, did well.

sod the premiershit, the championship is where its all at! Leicester City 3rd after coming up last season...

anyway Liverpool fans need to wake up and realise that they are no longer part of the 'big 4.' This is not just a financial statement - Arsene Wenger has a shoestring budget compared to other top teams in Europe. Part of the problem lies with the signings that have been made. You can get better players for a cheaper price.

Babel. £11.5m. What a tower of shit he is. He's just a glorified Lloyd Dyer (Leicester Winger). The two focus on their main strength - pace. Kick the ball in front and run with your head down. Unfortunately for Dyer some defences in the Champ have spotted this and can defend against it. Unfortunately for Babel...

Voronin. Looks like a twat. Looks like a european male porn star with that absolutely fucking ridiculous ponytail. Unlike a porn star he simply cannot score. Championship standard at best.

Charles Itandje. Goalkeeper? Of course its the scousers oh so fucking funny wit coming into it. Oh hang on they HAVE NO SENSE OF HUMOUR. Of course Itandje thinks that Liverpool is a funny place especially Hillsbrough Memorial Services...

Ngog. French gem? French pile of shite. Talking of french gems (and its not just Benitez......)

Florent Sinama Pongolle. If pingu had a footballing cousin... oh fuck me. I am so silly. Pongolles cousin really is....

Anthony Le Tallec. Yet another 'promising' youngster who was a complete waste of fucking space.

And keeping it 'in the family' (as those dirty scousers like to), may I present Bambi on Ice. Lucas. Nephew of Leivinha. Might as well be George Weahs fucking cousin...

The reason for the rant? Scouse friend who continues to bleat about the world beating players the are linked to and sign - even though theres a pretty strong pattern emerging that 80% are fucking shit. But being a scouse he's too pre-occupied twoccing... but in truth I like to think that he hasn't got a brain...

Rant officially over. Thanks for reading. And thank tesco's for the cheap cider!

Where there is a will there is a way. Unfortunately I cannot be arsed.

Good result, should have been 6 or 7, plus Owen really should have found the net at the end, but it's a good sign to see our attacking options are working. Obertan looks so promising too.

Now the game is over, I have to admit seeing as I took such a backlash from last weekend:

to those silly Scousers.

Does this match not worry you though? I don't think it was so much as Blackburn's defending, but the quality of United's finishing. I dunno, I really wasn't that impressed. They completely controlled the game (did Blackburn even have a shot at goal?) but created relatively few chances.

It doesn't really bother me too much, we pretty much spanked Blackbern in terms of possession etc. We could be a bit more clinical in finishing terms, but as in creating the chances, we look very good.

Nani is useless. The sooner either Park gets back from injury or Obertan gets to start consistently, the better. I can't really gauge Obertan's contribution from watching MOTD, but it sounds as he has contributed more in one match than Nani has all season. I put his miss down to inexperience, bearing in mind his first ever start for United was against Barnsley in midweek. Anderson needs to pick up his game. He had such a good first season, but now really needs to push on and improve his all-round game. Some of his passing is spectacular, he can get stuck in in the tackles, but his consistency isn't great. Berbatov looks to be enjoying playing for United now, he had a face of sheer joy when he scored, and he is contributing a lot more now. Good to see Rooney back on the scoresheet, and I really hope that Owen (I still can't believe my eyes seeing him in a United shirt) really needs to put chances like the one he missed away.

At least he scored the one like that against City

Oh and also:

Yeah, but to be fair it wasn't exactly their full strength team and there wasn't too much to play for.

United have been getting lucky the whole season anyway.

I waited until I sobered up to comment on tonight's game, but it was nail-biting. Say all you want about Rio and Vidic, but we missed them tonight, there was no-one really to boss about the midfield. Valencia had a great game, as did Fletcher (who should have been awarded a penalty, not given a yellow for simulation!), Owen missed a bagful of chances, but him playing 90 mins was good.

As for Nani, another disappointing performance. I'm not sure how many times Fergie can keep giving him a chance, even the fans are starting to lose total patience with him now. Obertan looks like a good replacement.

We weren't THAT lucky, we hammered at the CSKA goal in the last 20 minutes, and had the fair share of bad luck (again) with the decisions. Valencia's goal was lucky though, and he knew it.

But shit jesus, they need to stop doing it the hard way. Fair play to CSKA though, they deserved their point, at times, all three. Some definitely starlets in the side.

I am a little bit late here with my emotions, but it doesn't matter anyway.

It was a great game. One of the best in this season. I was very surprised with game of CSKA. I have not seen their so sure game in Russian league this season. It was their second match with new coach (after a resignation of J. Ramos). That's why I think this game will be walk in park for Man United. I was mistaken.
Players of CSKA run on a field (they RUN). In national league they usually go at a walk. They combined on a field. Krasic played his best match this season. He was king of a wing. I won't tell you about Dzagoev. He is just 18, but you've seen his game. I am not fan of CSKA, but it was unfair to them. They lost two points. Man United won 1.

Anyway I hope that MU and CSKA will go to play off. It'll be fair.

Because of such games I love football
