Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov is disturbingly addictive, if you like reading into the psyche of an aging pedophile. I saw the movie and now moving onto the book.

I just finished Angels & Demons the other day 
I had put off reading it for some reason, and I didn't plan on seeing the upcoming movie because I hated the Da Vinci Code movie so much for taking all the perfect ingredients and then spoiling it.
...Then I found out that Ewan McGregor was going to be in it.... so, er... change of plans! 
People can rip on Dan Brown all they want, but I LOOOOOVED this book!! I mean, it literally did not leave my hands while I was reading it. Sure, it's not a challenging read by any stretch or the imagination (I actually figured out two clues way before Langdon did  Thanks art history class!), but if you're looking for the ultimate page-turner, this is it.
There is a time for literature, and then there is a time for books that are so fun to read that when someone interrupts you, it's like they're putting the pause on the thriller going on in your head.
And picturing Ewan McGregor as the hot priest didn't hurt either

Angels and Demons is in my opinion a far far better book than The Da Vinci Code.

I found that to be a really difficult read and gave up less than a quarter of the way through.
I'm not sure if it was because of the translation but it was much too wordy and long-winded.
How are you finding it?

You should try Simon Yates (the one who cut the rope) The Flame of Adventure, I really enjoyed it. Touching the Void was an amazing story 
not long finished The Outer Dark by Cormac McCarthy-quite a dark but intriguing book, it will stick in my mind for a while. About half way through Wally Lamb's 'The Hour I First Believed' which I am enjoying-I thought it might be a struggle at 740 pages long but it isn't at all 
when I am gone,it wont be long before I disturb you in the dark

I was interested in the topic and was looking for a explanation for dummies. I'm not sure I understand every single thing there, but it's definitely an interesting and entertaining read.

I think I'll read them in that order.

Took me a while to get used to the way it's written, but when you do it does feel very fresh. Not bad considering it was written so long ago.

I loved The Road, it was brilliant indeed I've just ordered The Orchard Keeper, his first novel so it will be interesting to see if his style has changed since then. You should read No Country For Old Men, it's a damn good read

Haha! I'm glad you enjoyed it, I'm looking forward to starting it.
I've heard a lot of praise for this book. It was actually recommended to me by my father, who is a Professor in English Literature. He usually has very good book recommendations!

Angels and Demons is a great book, loved reading it, especially the book with the drawings and images in it, made things clearer.
At the moment i'm reading Timeline by Michael Crichton, can't get enough of it, such a good book.
