Why are you still on SP2? Get SP3, it might solve something, cause I don't have that problem.

I dunno if this had meant to happen, or some weird fault with the new website (so I'm posting it here) but the other day when I switched from one page to the next (can't remember what they were - just the main page to forums or something like that) I got one of those "Please take a moment to visit our sponsor" pages which takes up the whole screen while you wait for that "Skip this ad" icon to appear in the top right of the page.

I just thought this was a bit odd - I know the website needs revenue to continue to run, but I didn't think that it would have taken on that kind of (frankly annoying) advertising. Just posting it here as it strikes me as the sort of thing that wouldn't happen on this site and therefore may be some odd problem associated with the new skin. I'm running on Internet Explorer 7 on Windows Vista.

The usernames in the news posts are always blue whatever skin you select. Shouldn't they be the same as all the other areas on the site where they are the same colour as the skin theme... if that makes sense.

One minor problem is that there are sometimes no line breaks where there should be, like in the user galleries the description of the photo starts where the comments bubble is and then drops down.

If that makes sense.

Where's the old skin gone? It's easier on the eyes and the loading time is a lot faster, but it wont change back now!

You go to your profile and change the skin to Cloe II, and it should be back

First Ads now this, i dont mind if it changes permantly at some point but at least sort all the bugs out or make a proper PM alert first there was a reason i still use the old one
edit: Its probably got to do with the ads, on chloeII you only have little ones and here there are more, so if its a contractual thing why we have to have them for a week they want everyone to see them, or not but thats my theory

Bugs update:
Floating reply box - fixed
Updating profile resetting colour preferences - fixed
PM notification - fixed
Username colours (distinction between subs and non subs) - code code rewritten to allow for multiple skin colours, ready for css tweaks
Report to moderator links - rewritten to allow for multiple skin colours, ready for css tweaks
Go to top link - fixed

Other updates:
Cloe II removed

To do:
Shoutbox on all pages - still being considered
Menu issues
Gaps & positioning in places - not critical
New favicon - not critical

If I'm missing bugs from my list please let me know, I've probably missed things. Please remember to report with a screenshot where possible, your operating system and browser (very importantly the version).

A note about Cloe - You may have noticed the option of using Cloe has now disappeared. Development of Cloe II has now officially stopped. It's no longer feasible to continue updates to an old design used by so few users.

I've had the same problem, peridocially the whole website just refuses to load with that error message.

And I don't want to use firefox, tis very overrated in my opinion... *runs and hides*

Do we know if this bug is fixed? I have been using the old skin since I couldn't get on ML at all in the end, as the pages wouldn't load. I've had no problems with Chole but now its gone I just hope I don't end up with the same problems, cos I won't be able to get on here to report it!

Did anyone address this problem? If not can I have an email address to contact the team if ML goes down again for me?

running IE7 on XP (and don't want to use firefox thanks )

Once I finally found my way to the photos, I discovered that the descriptions have been chopped off; in other words, there is usually one word on a top line of sorts and the rest on the other line.

look something like this.

I'm using FF on XP... darn flawed skin.

This was the error I was talking about in the other thread that got locked - I guess I shouldn't have used the words "fatal error" to describe it.

I occasionally got an "internet explorer cannot open the website" error and then "operation aborted" message, which would cause the blank page to load instead. To get around this I would stop ML (using the Esc key) before it fully loaded and logged in where I was using the old skin. ML is working for me right now, but this problem does seem to appear randomly from time to time.

My OS: XP Home 5.1.2600 SP2 Build 2600
My IE: 7.0.5730.11 Build 75730

I searched for this problem elsewhere when it first occurred to see if it was my comp's fault, and found this which I posted a page or two back:

Quote
Dazza :
Well if several IE7 people are experiencing this then this could be the problem.

The only easy solutions (if this really is the problem) are to upgrade to IE8, which is only in beta at the moment, or install another browser like firefox, which I am contemplating...

For the smart website designers:
Quote
This problem occurs because a child container HTML element contains script code that tries to modify the parent container element of the child container. The script code tries to modify the parent container element by using either the innerHTML method or the appendChild method.

The link I provided above does contain a workaround solution, so if this is the cause of the problem then who ever can edit the website code might be able to fix it!

I didn't understand much of that so it might not be any help at all!

I would like this skin much better if the background wasn't black, or, at least, the text was a bit BIGGER.
