I don't like the way so many rare items don't even get a chance to even finish on eBay these days. Thankfully a lot of sellers aren't open to undercutting when they only have one of a particular item listed.

And that's all I have to say about that.
Stop laughing! I'm as mingy as I can get so even buying all this stuff has been a huge gesture of affection towards the band's music. Ha!

the others may be they look similar but id be worried, he says signed by all 3 and if Tom signed it people are not getting what they think, id steer clear of that but i wouldnt mind the vinyl.

The only albums I have are Black Holes & Revelations, Origin of Symmetry and HAARP. I did have Absolution as well but my mum lost it. Idiot.
I also have "Muse: The Supermassive Selection" (that covermount CD they compiled for NME of some of their favourite songs, the one with Man Of Mystery on it), and a bunch of demos and remixes I downloaded from here.
I have two T-shirts as well. One beige one with the satellite design on it that I got at a gig in Newcastle, and one with the Invincible artwork that I got from Wembley.
I have HAD IT with these motherflipping Joes on this motherflipping plane!

Well, it's nothing special. All the albums + the Hullabaloo CD, all their own DVD material (H.A.A.R.P, Abso and Hullabaloo) and two t-shirts.  And some EP-style material downloaded from here, but I guess it doesn't really count.

I suspect that this is fake. Just a copy of the recent demo tapes that have appeared. No story about who the tape was from. The tracks have a different EQ - but anyone can do that. It's literally just the Muse EP on a tape.

There certainly have been a lot of rare Muse items (Fake or not.) cropping up recently. Credit crunch?

Probably yeah, people need moneys. But that tape is definitely fake. I can do that right now if I wanted to...one blank cassette, a pen and four mp3s is all you need, apart from the fact you'd know it was me

True, too much cassettes are all over the place, i agree that it's a fake.
And also a lot of muse Ep! There are 4 on ebay by now  One is ending in a hour and a half...if someone is interested...

It is strange how so many demo tapes have suddenly appeared after ages with just the This Is A Muse Demo Tape. The EP tape seller is also selling an old gig poster, the 'new railway inn' one which I remember there was a jpeg of floating around. But like you said that demo cassette could be made by anyone and it doesn't look old/yellowed like the others have..

Hmm, it is a dodgy tape, that one. I don't think they even made those TDK cassettes in 1998. The seller also has some weird Pink Floyd lyric sheet that looks fake, and has sold a 'signed' BHaR CD before. Wouldn't trust him at all...

Yes, that tape is fake, although his A3 NRI poster isn't.. For a start, he has written "Sawmill Studio" on the spine, when its "Sawmills Studio". Seems like he has just taped a muse ep onto casette, and its flogging it for £50. Cheeky beggar. I'd like to see another genuine TIAM Demo come out of hiding though. Definately an interesting time for a collector.
I was pretty disgusted to see that "signed" picture disc sell - that was obviously a fake. I asked the seller way back to provide the authentication pictures. He said he would, but he never did.
Hope the escape demo surfaces soon ;)

I don't think.
I'm pretty sure it's real, and according to the Muse management, they think it's "probably genuine".

Hey all.
The rip of the tape didn't go exactly to plan:
It arrived, I had time to listen to the begining of escape but then I had to leave it with a teacher to rip it - usually I would have just done it my self.
Just before half term, I turned up with my ipod, grabbed the rip and the tape but the rip clipped lots and lots; i'm not convinced this was how it was meant to sound based on the bit of escape that I have heard.
Sadly i've left the tape at school sitting on top of a motherboard if my memory serves me correctly. I hope to get things sorted out as soon as when I get back to school.
From what I can tell, escape seems to be the most different track, with a different guitar track and the extra vocals that were spoken about.
Lots and lots of interesting stuff on ebay - seems that catdogs listings have prompted a few people.
Has anyone asked what untitled is on the 6 track tape?
Sorry to keep you waiting.

I'll listen to it and see if there's actually any differences. I think it's probably just tracks we have already heard. If there anything new or different on there I shall definitely try and upload it all.
I'm surprised it went for so little, I had a hige bid on it, expecting some craazy final price like that Showbiz CD-R. It's the most official demo tape that has been seen so far, it actually has a label and things. I think the unreleased track the seller was referring to was Instant Messenger, and meant that it hadn't been released on any albums.

I'm also very surprised about the low price! I didn't even try to bid because I thought it would reach x2 or x3 more!
And the Showbiz CDR has gone for a big price, it's true! Too much for me for a re-release Album cdr!
I've received my BH&R 4 tracks watermarked cdr.
Interesting because it is numbered + there's the name of the original receiver.
This one is n°3.
