But looking at their squad, I don't think Man City comes even close to Man Utd or Chelsea. I know they have lots of money, that's why I said money talks louder.
And I meant that the money will guarantee them success next season. Also, no-one will be anywhere near challenging him for a place at City and he'll get more money for it as well. It's a good move for both teams. Funny though considering Man City had Darius Vassell and Paul Dickov playing upfront together only a few seasons ago.

Actually, looking at their squad, I'll agree. This is a good team. But they'll need a lot more than money and fresh star players to pull a title win. That's why this is a shocker; we don't see a big name player joining a team that's only trying to be big everyday.

Man City fans are in a bit of a dreamworld still. Just because they signed Robinho, doesn't make them a big four club...
...yet. Next year, they will be serious contenders.

0034: ENORMOUS BREAKING TRANSFER NEWS
The Spurs website says they have agreed to sell Dimitar Berbatov to Manchester United for £30.75m, with Fraizer Campbell going to Spurs on a season-long loan. Did you get all that?

Yep, Anderson and Carrick are our best two center-mids, until Hargreaves gets fully fit again.

Being a City fan all my life I can say that no other club deserves the money we now have. Years of disapointment and relegation yet the fans still stayed loyal and finally we're getting somewhere.
Today was like a dream first hearing we got taken over by a guy who has 10 times the cash of chelsea and then being linked with 6 signings worth £300 million lol and finally getting Robinho and forcing United to pay an extra £10 million what a day!
I'm not going to get ahead of myself (cos this is still City we're talking about) but I can see City challenging the top 4 not this season but maybe the next.

Aghh, Tonge's gone?!? Didn't hear about that last night. I'm well gutted!! That's not good. We were looking for new midfield players, we get none in and sell one of the best we've got?!?! Gahh, fucking hell. Not amused.

There are always one or two deals that sneak through and you only hear about them the day after, shame for you as he was a decent player, at championship level at least.
I remember when we sold Michael Ricketts to Boro for about £4m, that was a late one that we only found out about the day after, was gutted but turned into one of the best bit of business Bolton ever did

He was good for us in the Prem too, for most of the season. He's been out of form too much lately though. I suppose that might be a reason he's gone. :/ He's so good when he's in form but, eh, I think he's got confidence problems, ol' Tongey. Maybe playing in the Prem again will restore that for him. I hope it does, wish him all the best. I'll always remember him for his goals against Liverpool in the first leg of the League Cup semi back in 02/03 ^^ That was an awesome match.

I stayed up until 00:00 just for the transfer window to end to see if Robinho leaves us although I had school, but it was accidentally 00:00 Israeli time, so I went to bed thinking hes staying at Real Madrid. When I woke up before school I saw he signed at City.
That was good news, I didn't want this snake to stay at my team.
The past is now part of my future, The present is well out of hand.

Yeah I remember that match, he was looking like a hot property at that time, would have gone for around £6m probably.

I agree with that to an extent..we do have some major young talent, but there's a limit to our experience, strength and depth. Maybe one "big name" signing would of settled my woes.

Offical Newcastle Statement NEWCASTLE United can confirm that meetings between members of the Board and manager Kevin Keegan were held both yesterday and today.
Kevin has raised a number of issues and those have been discussed with him.
The Club wants to keep progressing with its long-term strategy and would like to stress that Kevin is extremely important, both now and in the future.
Newcastle United values the effort and commitment shown by Kevin since his return to St. James' Park and wants him to continue to play an instrumental role as manager of the Club.
For the avoidance of doubt the Club has not sacked Kevin Keegan as manager

And apparently Man City is seriously trying to get Ronaldo in January. Not only Ronaldo, but Fàbregas, Henry and Torres. Now that I'd like to see.
|
|
|
Apparently, Man City (or more specifically, Al-Fahim) wants to buy Cristiano Ronaldo for 135 million.
And if they do, this means that Ronaldo will be worth more than the entire Newcastle United Football Club (whom Mike Ashley bought for 135 mil).
Now that is proof of football gone utterly insane.
Entertaining though
