Rage kicked arse :P T'was good to see Webber back finally, although he did fuck all when he came on..Holford did naff all, he can throw the ball well, but when he's got it, he's too eager to give it away, Sun whatshisface looked good though Shame about Geary.

Jihai is fucking incredible. Best signing of the summer, it looks, thus far. And yeah Halford is God awful. Doesn't chase the ball down, wont run with it, just does... nothing!! Cotteril did more than him in his first two minutes on the pitch! So much better. Killa is probably our best player (or at least most underrated) at the moment though. Always solid as at the back. Legend. Best defender I've seen at the Lane for a good while, if ever whilst I've been going.

Cotterill did well, we stil don't have a player that dares take a chance with a shot though, a few players have one pot luck shot a game, I think Tonge tried yesterday, but it got blocked, if we ever have space in the centre of the pitch and the player with the ball is facing the goal, they'll pass sideways, instead of shooting. Oh well.
Were you there yesterday?

Indeed I was. And yup, that's our problem. I'm sure it's a confidence thing. Happens all the time we go on a bad streak, which is why it's confusing me now. We're not on bad form at all. Just one bad performance. Two week break now though, I'm sure Blackwell will be onto sorting that issue out. Beattie should be back not long after this break too, so, we should be looking decent again this time next month.

The strikers look to be on form however, Billy played well, and Henderson didn't lose out on any headers, although the bloke sat behind me kept calling him Hreidarsson, as in Herman, which I thought was pretty funny.
I was wearing blue shoes, you didn't see me did you? :P

Henderson doesn't lose out on headers... if he gets up for them. He's often knocked away from it or held down easily (not his fault of course) and I don't think he's got as much strength as you might need for that kinda role. And yeah Billy started well. Lost it a bit towards the end though but I think it was frustration from Quinny keep feeding him shit balls through.

And unless you were the cunt who kept kicking me in the back or the annoying old moaning twat sat two rows in front of me, no, I didn't see Where were you sat? I was in the um, whatsitcalled, can't remember the name, but the Bramall Lane corner. I usually go on the upper tier but yeah, corner for a change yesterday.

Quinnys a bit temperamental I suppose, can start a game fantastically, and then ends up being shite. Wonder where Stead's gone

Erm, that can't have been me, I sit in the..Valad stand? The old Global Windows bit, season ticket, you know the drill.

Stead was injured, apparently. So not match fit, so they say. Personally I just don't think Blackwell's a fan, but I suppose we'll see as the season goes on.

Ahh I've not sat in that stand since it was the Laver stand Probably nearly 10 year since I was in there. Used the what is currently the Malta stand for ages, then the Kop for a bit, then for the last 3 seasons being using the Lane upper tier. Personal favourite is the Lane upper tier though. I love it.

Well, that didn't take long to resolve. Off to Ipswich, ol' Steady. That's a bummer, I liked him. Hard worker and all that.

Oh Dear.

Not pleased. Seriously not pleased. He's not worth £30m, and I can imagine some of it is spite money. Still, 8 hours to go. Could all change.

I also like the transfer deadline day but they usually disappoint. That Berbatove deal would be a shocker but what is he going to get at City that Tottenham couldn't offer?

Breaking news: Berbatov is at United talking to Sir Alex.

Paul, the only person benefiting from it is Spurs. the player wants to go to United, so both boards should stop being stubborn and let the guy go.

Where did you here that James? I must admit I am just following the BBC page at work.

Yeah Spurs are asking too much but United need him, Sir Alex wants him so surely they should pay up. They could recoup £7m straight away for an unproven 20 year old!!!

I have Sky Sports News on, it's on the yellow ticker at the bottom. I also have the BBC page up, and have Setanta News on mute.

This is gripping.

EDIT: Real Madrid reporting to have tabled a £36mil bid for Berbatov! This is fantastic.

BBC seem to think they can confirm Spurs have accepted the offer from City now.

Sir Alex is talking to Berbatov now, Sky Sports are practically having sex with the story so it's true. I think he's off to United, no doubt now.

Arsenal have been suspiciously quiet.

EDIT: @ Jo Accepting an offer does not equal a transfer deal though, the player still has a big say, especially on a day like today.

EDIT 2: Sky Sports News are always having sex with these type of stories...

Oh I know, it's just weird how Sky Sports are so adament they are right, and BBC havn't said anything about him being at United. Just that the city offer is the one that has been accepted.

I hope he goes to City, to piss United off!!

I want Arsenal to sign a defender or a defensive midfielder. Denilson isn't the best, but he has time on his side.

Update! Sir Alex picked up Berbatov personally from Manchester airport, drove to United training ground and talked for an hour and a half. Sir Alex has recently left, however, no sign of Berbatov leaving. My suspicions is that Berbatov is having a medical as we speak.

This is gripping stuff. This is much more exciting than the opening ceremony in Beijing.
