Hey everyone

ok... time to be weird... im sick and tired of the stupid things my computer does... for example, last night the internet explorer program started to asexually reproduce itself... screenshots attached... it managed to open up 38 internet explorer program windows before abruptly stopping... so i was wondering, what are some of the stupid things your computer does... screenshots are always preferred along with descriptions... this is for a laugh!

edit: i just realised how bad those pictures are... i apologise for the really poor quality of the screenshots

general spring cleaning every month or so can go a long way.
My computers make me cut my self - I don't have any pics sadly.
And before anyone asks, i've built all the machines in this house bar 1 and sometimes I cut my self on some of the sharper parts of the cases.

dont you see!! The Hungry Caterpillar is about civil war in third countries causing poverty! on the fourth day, he ate three strawberries! the strawberries represent the child soldiers!

Gates vs. GM

At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated,

'If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25.00 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon.'
In response to Bill's comments, General Motors issued a press release stating:

If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics:

1. For no reason whatsoever, your car would crash........
Twice a day.

2. Every time they repainted the lines in the road, you would have to buy a new car.

3. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason. You would have to pull to the side of the road, close all of the windows, shut off the car, restart it, and reopen the windows before you could continue. For some reason you would simply accept this.

4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have to reinstall the engine.

5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, five times as fast and twice as easy to drive - but would run on only five percent of the roads.

6. The oil, water temperature, and alternator warning lights would all be replaced by a single 'This Car Has Performed An Illegal Operation' warning light.

7. The airbag system would ask 'Are you sure?' before deploying.

8. Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key and grabbed hold of the radio antenna.

9. Every time a new car was introduced car buyers would have to learn how to drive all over again because none of the controls would operate in the same manner as the old car.

10. You'd have to press the 'Start' button to turn the engine off.

My computer randomly decides to disconnect from the internet at the most inopportune times. Like when I'm all-in in a critical game of poker for example

Similarly, my internet cuts out, but it's the router that's cocking up.

It's my bitch.

When I turn my PC on, one of the DVD drives opens.

It's like it's saying hello.

For a strange reason I laughed at this for ages

My computer shuts down on his own. It's damn annoying. You're writing something, or using the internet and suddenly, there's nothing happening and you have to start the computer again

Norton Antivirus (I know, it's crap, I'm getting rid of it soon) suddenly decided to starts scanning for viruses every saturday at exactly 8 PM, usually minimizing (And potentially crashing) the game I'm playing at that moment. I looked at the planning schedule which I never use, and the weekly scan isn't on it.

Right now, mines pretending that it's CD drive doesn't exist, and it doesn't let me view pics with Windows Photo Gallery, which drives me insane sometimes. Also, sometimes when I'm in the middle of a game on the net, and usually a really hard one at that, it decides to freeze. Just the browser. Nothing else.

Lack of package manager + principle of most privilege = inevitable problems.

Going to great lengths to hide everything doesn't help, either.
