I don't get why everyone's being so snarky about this guy
I like his writing in the NME, its hilarious and I look forward to reading the book.
So he's a bit excitable, but aren't we all about Muse? Apart from you whiny sods who seem to take great pleasure in dissing the hell out of anything to do with them at the moment.

^ I think it's by that over excited NME reviewer, Mark Beaumont.
people criticise him for being over excited because he is a muse fan.
now if you were to write a piece for nme about Muse, you would do exactly the same, and that applies to everyone on here.
Also, yes nme is shit, but its not the writers. they are told how to write, they have to write for a perspective audience, those twats who wear skin tight jeans (whats the difference between skin tight jeans and skin tight leather trousers???)
I'm sorry if I came across like I was criticising him, I was just saying that he is over excited.

I'll be fine reading musewiki thanks.
I don't relly like his writing style either.
I'd only buy it if there was some interview he did in it that wasn't anyware else and even then it would depend on the price.

Why write another book when we already have one?
Plus, if it's done by an NME writer, it's bound to have loads of mistakes in it, lol

Then we can spend many fun hours circling them and pointing them out to anybody who will listen

I don't think I'll be able to get that book here.
Well you can order it through internet!
And about Ben Myers` book "Inside the muscle museum" - i like it. The only thing which I was completely shoked with was tha fact, that he`s made a mistake writing about Matt`s birthday. According to his book, it`s 8 June!!!

He just uses such complex phrases and words I can't be bothered to read his work.
I still will though.

I apologise. A lot of people on here criticise him for being over excited and yours was the first post I could quote to get my point across.

Why? Because Muscle Museum is the worst written, biggest load of steaming dog turd ever to be published to do with Muse maybe?

Hey, it`s not so bad. A few mistakes, long sentences, but I think it still contains a good analysis of interviews.

Felt I should give the interested a bit more info on the book - it's an unofficial and unauthorised release written with the intention of compiling every piece of information available in the public arena about Muse in one place. With so much more info available since the release of 'Inside The Muscle Museum' - a fine book which understandably trails off after the point of its initial publication in 2004 - we felt there was room for a more up-to-date and comprehensive biography. With online sources such as Musewiki proving such intricate and detailed information of recent years and - while I stress the book is unofficial - the band themselves helping out with correcting some previous mis-information about their history and giving me some extra info, I hope I've put together the most comprehensive and accurate account yet. I wouldn't imagine there aren't innacuracies in it here and there though so if any of you spot one please let me know via the publisher so we can correct it in any future print runs.
Obviously, in covering every aspect of the Muse story for the sake of the passing Muse fan there'll unavoidably be an awful lot of it that the most passionate fans will know already. For those fans I hope some value will come from the 30,000 words of previously unprinted Q&A interviews with the band, managers, tour managers, producers and schoolfriends which I've compiled from new interviews and unprinted sections of interviews I've conducted with the band over the years. You might find particular interest in the (often quite touching) touring insights of Glen Rowe or the behind-the-scenes business dealings of Safta Jaffery. Here's a test: there's a '30 Things You Never Knew About Muse' photo gallery up on NME.com today - have a click through it and if you can honestly say you know about every one of them then my book will probably not offer you anything new!
And apologies to anyone who thought my Muse RAH review was too enthusiastic or hyperbolic - thing is I think Muse are fucking brilliant and deserve all the hyperbole you can throw at them. The book isn't that dense and gushing though - wild over-written ravings are all very well over 350 words but writing 100,000 requires a rather more restrained tone if you don't want your reader's eyeballs to burst.
