NME: Mark Beaumant 100,000 words later, the Muse book gets delivered to Omnibus Press on deadline this morning and I can finally look up from a computer screen for the first time in a month.
continued...
It's amazing what a month coseted away in a flat with barely any contact with the outside world will do to you. I think I've developed mild agoraphobia since I find myself suddenly terrified of being mugged when in small crowds and everywhere I look everyone seems to have the face of Matt Bellamy, like in Being John Malkovich.
I've also become an encyclopeidic fount of Muse trivia - pretty much any fact that's appeared in print about them is stuffed somewhere into the darkest recesses of my brain and I'm open to being tested. Questions from the floor?
And as I prepare to resume normal daily blog service, what have I missed?
* Muse have started work on a new album, which they plan to release more organic... what? WHAT? There's more Muse stuff to write about? AAAARGGHHHH!!!
Tonight's gig: My birthday/finishing Muse book party in Room 2 of Proud Gallery, with One Night Only, Pete & The Pirates & The Displacements playing next door
On the iPod no the way to work: nothing, too braindead from Muse-overload

woahhh what's up with people on here lately?! Everyone seems so angry, negative and willing to prove a point. What happened to the friendly community we used to have?
|
|

Ah, another book. Is this by the same guy who did "Inside the Muscle Museum"?
Anyway it would be nice to be able to read a detailed summary of Muse's journey over the last couple of years. I think I'll buy it.

^ I think it's by that over excited NME reviewer, Mark Beaumont.

Oh.
Well still, I might get it, but if it's by an NME writer, it might be shocking.
But you never know. Maybe he's good.

Well, NME writers are fucking awful these days, so thats one minus point, especially Beaumont. and Ben Myers' exhaustive biographies (inside the muscle museum and its recently updated version) are, well.. perfect.
Can't be bothered, really.

people criticise him for being over excited because he is a muse fan.
now if you were to write a piece for nme about Muse, you would do exactly the same, and that applies to everyone on here.
Also, yes nme is shit, but its not the writers. they are told how to write, they have to write for a perspective audience, those twats who wear skin tight jeans (whats the difference between skin tight jeans and skin tight leather trousers???)
