In the news paper clipping it also said something about leaving a teenage son. Walt much?
Or is that too obvious?
EDIT: And Jack wants to get back to the island, so I reckon he cried because whoever is in the coffin knew how to get back to the island, and his chances have just decreased. A lot.
Michael it is then!

No it won't be Ben. He survives as we all know.
We don't know how far in the future the coffin scene is. Who's to say Ben doesn't get killed after he begins working with Sayid? I do think it's Michael, though.
But if it's Ben.

yeah i agree locke is annyoing, especially when he gets all fate/miracle, asks the island what he's suppose to do, but i guess that's really how the story goes

I don't go in for all that faith bollocks either. Lost is kind of heavy on the supernatural stuff though. Christian's apparent resurrection, Claire's astrology, the Aussie psychic, Desmond seeing the future, Miles talking to ghosts. Never mind Locke and Rosa being healed. I worry that that may be its downfall, when all is revealed at the end.
Speaking of which, I want Radiohead - Lucky to play over the very final scene.

Yeah it's things like that, that worry me about how the Lost writers will actually make all this tie in together, and make it sound good.

They wanted to make him have less of an important role in the show, they've done a good job!
I can't see it being Ben in the coffin. But I have no idea who else it could be!
It wouldn't really make sense I don't think, cos Jack cried (wuss) when he read about it.
I don't understand why he would if it was Ben.
But then again, Ben wouldn't have anyone who would go to his funeral...
Touche! As far as we know, all his "friends" are on the Island. But then it brings that newspaper clipping into question again.

I just hope the ending is satisfying. It'll have to be a hell of a Season 6.

There's Radiohead references this season
Desmond starts saying 'I'm not here, this isn't happening' in The Constant.

Now how did I miss that?
Seriously though guys. Lucky. All the stuff about it being a glorious day, "Pull me out of the air crash," and that final line where it all stops and Teh Thom sings, "We are standing on the edge...."

I would love it though if the final scene of Lost is just like a big cheesy party on the beach, and they are all wearing beach shirts and doing the limbo, and Ben is doing tequila shots with Keemey and everyone is laughing.... theres a barbeque.... and Dancing in the Moonlight is playing in the background.
Actually scratch that. That would be the most depressing end. But somewhat funny.

 I love your mind.
That should be the alternative ending, on the DVD. They should totally film that.

How would Claire have gotten off the Island to be in the coffin?
And surely her mum would be there aswell? Cos no-one turned up apparently.

i think it might be michael. i first thought it wouldn't make sense with jack being sad and all, but then someone mentioned that maybe the person in the coffin knew the way back to the island. so im convinced it's michael now.

Wouldn't Walt have gone to the funeral? Or Michael's Mum?

Come on, it Lost. Anything is possible! I'm just thinking in terms of who would affect Jack the most emotionally.
