Well with the new bootleg, we can hear the beginning and it has this eerie Western/Oriental sound to it. So that's where "Chinese Whispers" came from.

i have got used to calling des and a crying shame that and so have most people i guess, i like debasse mansons grog but it is a bit of a mouth full, but i hate pee candle that sucks so bad, where did that name come from????

I think the "bandits" thing comes from an interview Matt did where he was on about one song sounding like Mexican bandits or something equally daft. So people assume that "Pee Candle" is that song.

No, Chinese Whispers (my idea  ) came from the lyric squabbles over old bootleg, and how everyone hears something different when they listen to it.
The new bootleg made it a more logical idea for a title.
