Brit Award Nominations

Thought you'd like to know :)
Oh, and Muse will be performing (live????) On the Brits on the 17th February... apparently.

Muse have been nominated for:

Best British Rock Act (Along with The Darkness, Feeder, Primal Scream and The Stereophonics)

Hailing from Teignmouth in Devon (population 15,000), Matt Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Chris Wolstenholme met at school and formed bands named The Gothic Plague, Fixed Penalty, and the Rocket Baby Dolls, before settling for the far cooler Muse. The trio released their third album, Absolution, in September 2003. Recorded in London, Devon and LA, it followed 1999’s Showbiz and 2001’s Origin Of Symmetry. The band will be spending January and February touring Australia and Japan.

And the bit which says Muse will be there:

Flying the flag for the new breed of British rock bands we have MUSE. 2003 was a huge year for Muse clocking up a number one album ‘Absolution’, two hit singles, a sell out Europe wide arena tour, ten press front covers and critical acclaim from all of the UK’s rock critics. You can be sure that The 2004 BRITs with MasterCard will bring them further into the limelight and establish them as one of the best British bands of the decade.

Bleh. Good luck Muse :)
